Cold Comfort Farm book coverThe Book

This month we’ll be reading Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons, a parody of the rural fiction that was popular at the time of publication in 1932. This hilarious novel follows Flora Poste, an orphaned socialite who descends on her relatives deep in Sussex and finds herself a singularly miserable group in dire need of her particular talent: organization.

The Wine

We felt it was only fitting to highlight wines made on esteemed organic and/or biodynamic farms to pair with this month’s bucolic read.

$: Coquelicot Estate Vineyard 2019 Rosé of Sangiovese
$$: Hope Well 2018 Twain Chardonnay/Riesling
$$$: Solminer 2016 Syrah – Delanda Vineyard
